Adjusting height of cell for Challenge:More Data

#1

I want to vertically stack the three cell subviews (title, author, category) and I want each subview to be, say, 44px tall. How can I adjust the table cell’s height to accommodate this increase in height? I tried to change it in my UITableViewCell’s subclass method, layoutSubviews, but the cell height did not change.

Thanx in advance.

Use tableView:heightForRowAtIndexPath: from UITableViewDelegate to adjust the height of each cells.

I haven’t tried that yet, but I have a few questions on using the delegate method you mentioned:

  1. Will performance suffer from calling a delegate method for each row being rendered?
  2. And shouldn’t the UITableViewCell subclass be responsible for its default layout and styles and not leave it to a delegate?
