hey anybody know if the bug had been eradicated yet? thanks
Would someone be able to identify the “implicit intent camera interface on a lot of devices…” bug at code.google.com/p/android/? This is, if it is even listed there. Then we could track the issue.
However, I guess since not all devices will be upgraded right away, even if the bug gets fixed, wide device support dictates using the camera API directly. I know my Galaxy S4’s camera app has a lot of features that give me control over photo quality. A polished app might test the implicit intent camera. When the app is first opened, it has you take a picture, using the implicit intent camera. If a full size picture results the app uses the implicit intent camera from then on, otherwise it uses the fallback, direct-to-API code.
