Can't locate ibtool

#1

I can’t find where ibtool is? Is this in a different place with the latest version of xcode? When I follow the instructions on page 344I get this message in terminal:

xcode-select: Error: No Xcode folder is set. Run xcode-select -switch <xcode_folder_path> to set the path to the Xcode folder. Error: /usr/bin/xcode-select returned unexpected error.

I tried making my xcode folder path the applications folder, but that didn’t work either. Any ideas where its located?

I found the solution: stackoverflow.com/questions/9666 … n-develope
This problem is caused by the Xcode 4.3 installer not updating the Xcode symlinks correctly to point to the active Xcode version. You can fix it with the following command:

sudo xcode-select -switch /Applications/Xcode.app

This upcoming MonoDevelop 2.8.8 release contains a fix for this. You can get it from the beta update channel.
I got a different error mess:
ibtool --export-strings-file ~/Desktop/DetailViewController.strings DetailViewController.xib
Error: No developer directory found at /Developer. Run /usr/bin/xcode-select to update the developer directory path.
But the same fix resolved it:
sudo xcode-select -switch /Applications/Xcode.app
Thanks!
