Challenge Problem critique

#1

Here’s the code for the challenge. I want to ask again for ideas on the coding. I’m learning, the more streamlined the code, provided it’s effective, the better for the programmer. Is that thought off base?
//
// main.c
// Numbers

//

#include <math.h>
#include <stdio.h>

float result;

int main(int argc, const char * argv[])
{

result = sin(1);
printf("The sine of 1 radian = %.3f\n", result);

return 0;

}
Is trig a basic tenet of coding? If so, I’m going to have to buy some math books! :cry:
