Continues property of Slider

#1

In chapter 7 for Binding the value of fido to our slider we set Slider’s continues property = enabled.
Isn’t it repeatedly asking for the value of the objected which is bound to?
Now why we don’t enable the Continues of the label which again gets the fido value repeatedly?

Hi,

I just googled the meaning of continuous too, since it is not given in the book:
It means that you will get updates of the value while dragging the slider, every time the value changes, instead of just one update when you release the mouse button:

spheenik is correct (thanks!) – continuous refers to how the NSSlider calls its actions, or updates its value binding, not how it reads the value. Regardless of the continuous setting, the NSSlider will be updated every time the value it is bound to changes.

Thank you all, I got it.
