I just spent a good 30 minutes recovering from this trick:
- I figured to speed things up and just copied and pasted the three -es directories into the res directory.
- As I had added the “pause” option, I had to update the various strings.xml files to include that (“Rotura” in Spanish, by the way).
- My R.java file disappeared!
My final solution was to copy a full res directory from my previous HelloMoon version (chapter 13) and then create the directories individually (as documented in your book) and then added the appropriate resource files. After all that, things worked.
So… why didn’t my copy/paste of the directories work? And is there some magical way to force a recreation of the R.java file?
