The text in ch. 15 (Using Alert Panels) starts discussing the C function style of doing alerts, and then suddenly jumps to enhancing RaiseMan to implement alerts by using the NSAlert class. I found the unexplained jump confusing.
Sure, reading the Apple documentation pointed out that, starting with OS X 10.3, use of the NSAlert class was encouraged over use of the C functions.
