Finally did it!

Great book Joe & Aaron. I am totally new to Objective C and iOS.

In chapter 4, no matter what I tried, I was unable to see the location being found. I set breakpoints in the locationManager:didUpdateToLocation:fromLocation and locationManager:didFailWithError delegate implementations for the CLLocationManagerDelegate in the WhereamiViewController.m implementation. But they code never hit it there.

I downloaded the solution and that worked. Compared and double checked, everything seemed fine. It seems impossible to me that I am not calling the correct method at all that would lead to finding the location. Turns out I was doing:
[locationManager startUpdatingHeading];
instead of
[locationManager startUpdatingLocation];

1 hour it took to figure this out, in comparing files also, the mind sees what it wants to see and I did not see the obvious error :slight_smile:

I think the Xcode intelli-sense (sorry coming from MS world, not sure what it’s called in Mac world) led me to choose the wrong message!
