Here is my solution

#1

[code]
NSTimeZone *timeZone = [NSTimeZone systemTimeZone];
bool dayLight = [timeZone isDaylightSavingTime];

    if (dayLight == 0){
       NSLog(@"There is no daylight savings time here");
    }
    else {
        NSLog(@"There is daylight savings time here");
    }[/code]

What do think of my example. I threw an if statement in there because it was the best way I could think of to translate the 0/1 into a string.

Thanks!

#2

I like it!
in my first try, I had to write a whole sentence for the if statement, like: if ([myMac isDaylightSavingTime]) etc…
But on this forum I learned another way, to write it in one sentence:

Output; either “My Mac lives in daylight saving time” or “My Mac lives not in daylight saving time”.
(Wonder if the last one is grammatically correct. :confused: )

This may be helpful to you, to see another way to ‘translate’ the BOOL.
