Incompatible integer to pointer conversion

My question is about removing the * in the code below.

book say’s

“Now let’s make a common programming mistake. Remove the * from the fourth line of main() so that it reads.”

addressOfI = 89;

You say a warning pops up when you remove the *. Which I am getting the error, but you ask us to fix the error. My solution would be to put the * back in, but I don’t think that is the answer you are looking for. Can you explain how you would fix it, and why?

Yes, just put the * back in.
