NSArrayController as a selectable class in New File

#1

I’m going through:

When I created the file from New File… I expected to NSArrayController. I did not have that as a choice (Xcode 4.2.1 on 10.7.2). I had NSObject, NSDocument, NSView, NSViewController, NSWindowController. I used NSObject and manually changed CarArrayController’s header file and everything built and runs fine but I wondered if I’m missing something or if the text wasn’t as clear as it could be.

Xcode doesn’t show all of the possible classes there, only the ones it has templates to help you subclass. In the case of NSArrayController you would just type in “NSArrayController” in that field. As you found though, this is the same as using NSObject and then manually changing the superclass in the .h file.
