Output Log about Root View

#1

I’m new to iOS programming, but not programming in general. I’ve gotten my Quiz application working with iOS 5 and Xcode 4.2 without much issue (thanks to the 10 steps you provided… I figure out about 6 of those on my own just messing around)

The question that I have is about the message in the Debug Output about “Applications are expected to have a root view controller at the end of application launch” - I noticed that my newly created MainWindow.xib has an Outlet for “rootViewController” but it won’t attach to anything (I select it and move the little tether all around the screen to no avail)

I was wondering if this is something that will be addressed when I get to multi-view applications and I should just disregard it for now… or is it something that I need to address and it specific to the hassle that is iOS 5/XCode4.2

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, they want you to use a view controller instead of adding views directly to the window.

This will all take care of itself when view controllers are introduced.
