“Note that the types that you can save to and restore from a Bundle are primitive types and objects that implement the Serializable interface. When you are creating custom classes, be sure to implement Serializable if you want to save them in onSaveInstanceState().”

Did we do that in this example. I don’t see where we have implemented the Serializable interface in this example. Can someone please explain this to me?

No, we didn’t implement Serializable. This is something you would need to do if you were stashing custom objects in onSaveInstanceState.
