Sandboxing and Application Data Folder

Oddly the book has no chapter explicitly covering file handling, so I assumed this would be the most appropriate place to ask the following question:

Let us assume I have an application that needs to store an object graph per user and I decide to do so using Core Data.
Furthermore I do not want to ask the user where to save the data but want the application to save it on its own without user interaction (like, for instance, a file save dialog).

Where would I want to save the data without angering the Apple gods by breaching sandboxing? Is the Application Support folder the right place to do so?

Thanks in advance for your time
