Security Exception when using adb

Hello, I’m at the end of Chapter 19, and I’m getting a Security Exception when trying to start CrimeCameraActivity from adb in the command line.

I added ‘android:exported=“true”’ to the manifest, and I asked for the camera permissions, so I’m not sure what could be causing the exception.

Here’s the exact error I get:

I’m trying to run it on a Motorola Droid Razr running API level 16, not an emulator.

Any ideas on how I can get past this? I’d really like to be able to run single activities like this.

Also, why does mine say “shell@cdma_spyder” instead of “shell@android” like in the book?

I got the same thing at first, but then I realized that the updated application (with the export) had not yet been loaded on the actual device. Once I loaded it onto the device by running from Eclipse as usual, I was able to start the Activity from adb.
