The bundle identifier you have specified is already in use

Hello.

Chapter 30, Section “Provisioning a Ubiquity Container”, place 13.909 /15.932 on Kindle for Mac

I tried to set up the App ID for iCloud, but when I try to put “com.bignerdranch.Nerdfeed” as the Bundle Identifier, I get this error: The bundle identifier you have specified is already in use. Please select another.

Am I the only one? What could be the cause of this issue?

I’m using Xcode 4.5.1 and iOS 6.

I ran into the same problem. You’ll need to pick something that’s unique for the App ID (e.g. com.bignerdranch.Nerdfeed101). Then you’ll need to update the bundle identifier in Xcode (you’ll be able to do this at the “Summary” tab of your project).

If you dont see drop down list in target-build settings, go to menu Editor-Show Values.
