What does clr mean?

#1

I am doing the motion events section of the chapter and I have been wondering what the clr means in this code

-(void)setCircleColor:(UIColor *)clr { circleColor = clr; [self setNeedsDisplay]; }

#2

It is the name of the parameter (local variable) holding the color passed into the method.

The following methods are all equivalent:

-(void)setCircleColor:(UIColor *)aColor
{
    circleColor = aColor;
    [self setNeedsDisplay];
}
-(void)setCircleColor:(UIColor *)newColor
{
    circleColor = newColor;
    [self setNeedsDisplay];
}
-(void)setCircleColor:(UIColor *)jibberJabber
{
    circleColor = jibberJabber;
    [self setNeedsDisplay];
}
-(void)setCircleColor:(UIColor *)___1
{
    circleColor = ___1;
    [self setNeedsDisplay];
}

Ok thanks, I just wasn’t sure if it had a predefined meaning in xcode or not
