Whereami project, delegate subclassed from UIResponder?

In my Whereami project the WhereamiAppDelegate is a subclass of UIResponder instead of NSObject as the book shows. Why did this happen?
Everything still seems to work the same, but I am concerned this will haunt me later if I don’t understand it now. :smiley:

I am OSX Version 10.7.3 and Xcode 4.2.

[code]#import <UIKit/UIKit.h>
#import <CoreLocation/CoreLocation.h>

@interface WhereamiAppDelegate : UIResponder
<UIApplicationDelegate, CLLocationManagerDelegate>
CLLocationManager *locationManager;

@property (strong, nonatomic) IBOutlet UIWindow *window;

From some digging, it looks like it is an ARC/4.2 thing. I did decide to use ARC and ignore the memory management code in the book for the examples.
