Detail image screen resize issue

Frontend Web Development: The Big Nerd Ranch Guide Chapter 4: Responsive Layouts with Flexbox

Upon completion of chap 4 when i resize the browser window the detail image overlays the thumbnail. Is that suppose to happen? Shouldnt it begin scaling down?
