Way of storing crimes in CrimeLab

Android Programming (3rd Edition) 13. The Toolbar

After one of challenges I store crimes in LinkedHashMap and after adding new crime, pressing back button list of crimes not reloading, but when I pressed up button everything is ok. If I store crimes in ArrayList - ok too. Why?
