Under “Creating the User Interface in Interface Builder,” the reader is instructed to click once on the .xib file in the project navigator. But the accompanying screen shot assumes the user has then hidden the Navigator (⌘0).

This really needs to be added to the errata. It’s been a month since it was pointed out. I just started using the book today and I was baffled by the screen shown in the book (Figure 1.10) vs. the actual screen in Xcode. How did you get there?

All you need are two sentences after the “Selecting MainWindowController.xib…” paragraph:

To see the Interface Builder more clearly, hide the Navigator by pressing Command-0 (you can bring the Navigator back at any time by pressing Command-1). You may need to drag the Window to the right a little to make it fully visible.
